About Me
With almost 20 years in the industry, my expertise spans across various sectors, including Workplace, Retail, Hospitality & Leisure, Education, and Residential. My passion for interior design has been a lifelong journey, one that started long before the days of 'Changing Rooms.' This passion continually drives me to push my creativity, expand my technical knowledge of materials, processes, and products, and improve my personal performance, ensuring that my designs are user focussed and surpass my clients' expectations. I pride myself on being as realistic, efficient and thorough as possible in every project I undertake.
I graduated from The University of South Wales with a BSc in Interior Design in 2005 and began my career at a company specialising in Workplace Design and Contract Furniture. After ten years, I joined a renowned Cardiff Furniture and Design company, Momentum Contract Furniture Ltd, as their lead designer. During my time at Momentum, I built a portfolio of projects that I am particularly proud to showcase here.
Throughout my career, I have gained in-depth knowledge of a wide range of European and UK-based furniture and lighting manufacturers and brands. I have worked closely with clients and contractors to deliver exceptional results. Building relationships with clients and industry contacts is something I particularly enjoy, I believe that these relationships are key to a successful project. In more recent years, I have become an advocate for Inclusive Design.
On a personal note, I have a long-suffering yet extremely supportive husband, two beautiful teenage sons, and the cutest, scruffiest, most obedient dog you'll ever meet. My oldest son has autism and ADHD, and I am close to my mother-in-law, who is visually impaired. Experiencing the challenges they face in public spaces has ignited a fire in me to ensure that any space I design is as inclusive, considered and integrated as possible. I firmly believe that the smallest changes can make the biggest difference.
